First Bitcoin, Now Amazon Coins – Amazon Releases New Virtual Currency

With all the recent fanfare with Bitcoins, it was inevitable that other companies would test the currency waters. According to their website, “Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network.
